What Are Nano Brows?

The permanent makeup industry is constantly evolving as new technology emerges. As a result, you can find countless brow products and services available. Thankfully so, since each and every one of them is geared toward giving you the brows you want and deserve.

One of the latest brow technologies to hit the market involves the use of Nano Machine Hair Strokes. This treatment is commonly referred to as Nano Brows.

But what exactly are Nano Brows?

Understanding Nano Brows

Nano Machine Hair Strokes, or Nano Brows for short, is the evolutionary treatment of microblading that offers longer-lasting color retention and an even more natural-looking appearance.

Nano Brows require a very precise permanent makeup machine, which creates hair-like strokes through the brows, similar to microblading. Although some refer to Nano Brows as “Nano Blading,” the Nano Machine does not use a blade to penetrate the skin.

The Nano Machine creates strokes that apply the pigment to the skin without cutting into it. As a result, the Nano Machine strokes are able to insert a small amount of pigment into each hair stroke, creating effects that will age gracefully.

Nano Brows vs. Microblading Treatment

It’s important to understand that various factors determine which brow service is right for you. Here are a few things you and your permanent makeup artist should consider.

Brow Style

If you’re looking for a more natural appearance for your brows, you might want to consider Nano Brows as an option. Since the Nano Machine uses ultra-fine needles rather than a blade as used for microblading, the size of the needle is meant to mimic the diameter and dimension of your natural hair.

Skin Type

Some microblading services are better suited for specific skin types. For example, those with oily skin might find that microblading has a higher chance of creating blurred strokes or fading over time due to the skin’s high oil production and absorption of the pigment. However, those with normal to dry skin types are perfect candidates for microblading.

Healing Process

You should be aware that microblading services require cutting the upper layer of the skin. A top microblading artist can reduce the likelihood of premature fading or poorly healed strokes. Still, the possibility of outside elements such as the numbing agent, water from wiping the brows, or even lymph fluid and blood can dilute the pigment.

Additionally, with microblading, the skin's upper dermal layer is penetrated to create hair-like strokes that mimic the natural appearance of eyebrows. Although most microblading clients say the pain is minimal, it is still causing trauma to the skin, which results in a longer healing time.
