Brow lamination is sometimes referred to as a perm for your brows or a Brazilian blowout for the brows. The effects are “fluffy” brows that tend to be ideal for those experiencing unruly or thinning brows.
Unlike microblading, needles are not involved, making a brow lamination a semi-permanent procedure.
If you’re a daily user of eyebrow gel or brow soap, a brow lamination might be a good option. You’ll be able to keep your natural brows styled the way you like without having to waste time prepping them each morning.
Brow Lamination Treatment
For a more even and fuller look for your eyebrows, you may be interested in a brow lamination, which involves the “perming” of your eyebrow hairs.
A brow lamination treatment will typically take 1 hour or less to complete and will last about 4-6 weeks. Here’s what’s a brow lamination treatment looks like:
A perming solution will be applied to your brows
To help pull your brow hairs in a uniform vertical direction they are brushed upward
A neutralizer will be used to help seal your brows into the desired fluffy shape
A nourishing oil will be applied to help prevent skin irritation and hair dryness
Optional Add-Ons
Optional add-ons to the brow lamination treatment may include:
Tweezing excess hairs
Threading to create your clean, desired arch
Tinting for color enhancement to complete the bold brow look
Brow Lamination Aftercare
Immediately after your treatment, you will leave with the nourishing oil on your brows that leaves them with a shiny appearance. This nourishing oil must remain on the brows for 24 hours in which you will have to keep your brows dry. You will be provided with an aftercare kit which includes a spoolie and castor oil. It is advised to apply castor oil to your brows nightly to keep them healthy, nourished and moisturized. Your lamination should last 4-6 weeks. For long lasting results, purchase a Brows by Nat clear or tinted brow gel, which will keep your brows fluffy throughout the day.
